The Gravenhurst Heritage Walking Tour Guide is now available for residents and visitors with a detailed brochure and accompanying online component to provide users a more in depth look at the 26 heritage sites featured in Gravenhurst.
The goal of the brochure is to promote important people and places which have defined the story of Gravenhurst. The tour includes several important civic and cultural buildings such as the Terence Haight Carnegie Library, The Albion Hotel and Clipsham House, just to name a few. Tour participants will also notice that there is overlap throughout the brochure, as many of our historic buildings are co-related. This includes the relationship between the Rosehurst and the Gravenhurst Curling Club, as well as Knox Presbyterian Church and Bethune House.
Inside the brochure, patrons will find a QR code which instantly directs them to additional information by using their smartphone. The brochure includes many historic facts and photos of the featured buildings The web link can also be viewed anytime at www.gravenhurst.ca/walkingtour
